I started shopping for my themed accessories and supplies as soon as we were sure we were having a beach wedding. The first thing to get was the invitations for our beach themed wedding. I made sure I had plenty of extra invitations, just in case I had to rewrite some of them, and it’s a good thing I did. With the invitations all done and on their way to our prospective guests, I could move on to picking out the beach wedding dress I wanted for our ceremony. With all the selections of beautiful beach dresses and wedding gowns, I had a difficult time deciding what I wanted to wear. I fell in love with two of the floor length gowns, but wasn’t quite sure if it would be uncomfortable to wear to a beach wedding. I found a beautiful beaded knee length dress made of light weight materials of satin and lace, with spaghetti straps for my wedding.
Linen beach dresses with a crocheted halter covering was what I chose for my bridesmaids. My fiance’s wedding attire consisted of a blue shirt and white pants made of linen, and his groomsmen were also dressed in linen, with white shirts and sandy colored pants. The little sundress our flower girl wore looked so adorable on her and our ring boy looked so cute in his little khaki shorts and white shirt. Everyone in the wedding party looked fantastic and the bouquets were absolutely the most beautiful arrangements I could have found.
With all the pictures I wanted taken of our wedding ceremony and reception, maybe I should have bought two leather wedding albums. I planned to have pictures of all the fantastic decorations at our wedding and reception and photos of every guest that attended. Pictures of our satin canopy and flowered arch where we stood to take our vows was a definite must. Directly after the ceremony we left to change into more suitable beach wear for the reception party. Some of the bridesmaids and groomsmen wore their swim wear under their wedding clothes, and some went home to change. I wrote on all the invitations to dress in casual clothing for this wedding.
Our guests seemed impressed with the wedding accessories for our reception tables that were done in a beach themed décor. The place I shopped not only had the beach wedding album I wanted, but so many more accessories to go with it. The little beach chairs I found worked out perfectly as place card holders and they made great little picture frames too. I really liked them and I’m sure our guests did too. The beach wedding favors I chose for our guests made the perfect little thank you gifts. The little tea lights I chose were in the shape of miniature sand castles and to help them keep the memory of our wonderful beach reception. I found everything we needed, as far as accessories and decorations, for our wedding table and our guests reception tables. They had the perfect crystal stemware, serving set for the wedding cake, wine glasses and a gorgeous beach themed cake topper.
Some of the guests were commenting on the gorgeous décor of our reception tables. I added some tiki torches everywhere and put gel candles on all of our guests wedding reception tables to help add a touch of atmosphere to everything. With all the accessories and supplies for the wedding and beach party reception, it made planning so much easier. The beautiful ocean whitecaps and the warm sandy beach made the perfect dream wedding and reception location.
Every once in a while I take out our beach themed leather wedding album and remember our special day.
