A theme wedding is my favorite. They truly can be a lot of fun. I just went to one of the best weddings and receptions I’ve ever attended. It was all done in a country western motif.
A quaint little country church was the location of the wedding ceremony. The church was beautifully decorated with satin ribbon and bows, flowers and candles. With the flowered hair pieces and the lovely baby blue dresses the bridesmaids and flower girl looked spectacular. The tuxes with the white boutonnieres in the lapels made the groomsmen and the little ring boy looked quite handsome. But nothing could compare to the elegance of the bride and groom. They were a picure perfect couple. After the ceremony the bride and groom left the church in a horse drawn buggy.
The couple were having their reception at the country house they had bought a couple of months before. What a gorgeous place they had with a beautiful house and horse barn on two acres. What a wonderful place to start a new life together, it’s perfect.
She did a fantastic job arranging her reception. Everything was fantastic. Each checkered tablecloth had centerpieces of wild flowers in little metal buckets. From the country décor to the themed wedding favors, everything was perfection. White christmas lights mixed in with a few lanterns completely encircled the picnic tables. There were bales of hay stacked here and there with corn stalks on the barn doors. They made sure there were plenty of things the kids would enjoy as well as the adults. My husband and I did a little dancing while some played horse shoes or gave apple bobbing a try. Everyone was having the time of their lives.
Their country western wedding cake topper was very comical and the cake itself was a masterpiece of confection. It was the perfect themed cake topper. They even had country themed champagne flutes for the bridal toast. And on each and every table she had little cowboy hats that were used as place card holders. That was such a unique idea.
The food they chose for the reception was unbelievable. Since this was more like a country barbecue, there was plenty choices of meats, salads and vegetables. It was one heck of a cookout. Lots of music, dancing, games and food to last all evening. It was a great country western themed reception.
A beach themed reception is another great party to go to. There is nothing more beautiful than a beach wedding ceremony. You can feel the romance in the air as the sun sets on the horizon. It’s like a romantic novel with the crashing of waves and the warm gentle breeze all around you. On my wedding day, I want to have a wedding ceremony just like this one.
The bridesmaids wore gorgeous summer dresses and the groomsmen wore drawstring pants and linen shirts. Her gorgeous crepe bridal dress was as blue as the ocean waters, and his white linen attire made him even more handsome than he already was. You couldn’t ask for a more perfect ceremony than this wonderful dream wedding.
Their reception was more than elegant too. Everything for her table décor had something to do with the oceanside. The centerpieces were little trays filled with sand and two large pillar candles with seashells, starfish and orchids all around them. Each and every guest had adorable little seashell place card holders, and champagne glasses with beach themed decorations on the stems.
Her beach décor was fabulous and she had everything from a beach cake topper to theme wedding cakes that worked perfectly. This was truly a wedding and reception to remember.

Thursday, December 3rd, 2009I didn’t have as many problems planning an outside wedding as I thought I would. It turns out that it was a lot cheaper in cost than it would have been to have an indoor wedding. Since we had the flowers and mother nature everywhere, I didn’t have to spend a lot of money on decorations. The first thing on my agenda was to find that perfect place to hold our summer wedding and reception party. Instead of having our wedding ceremony and reception on the beach or in a garden, I chose to have it in the park. I was surprised at all the parks available for weddings.
Since I never planned a wedding like this before, I needed all the help I could get. When you plan to be married in the great outdoors, it seems you have to have a backup plan just in case the weather turns from sunny to pouring buckets. It’s a good idea to have a tent ready to continue your ceremony if it becomes necessary.
Plan “A” was setting up a gorgeous trellis for our ceremony to be performed under and canopies for the reception. The only real decorations I needed were those for my wedding table and the guests reception tables. With the beautiful background of the park as our main décor, all I really needed besides table settings were a few extra flowers here and there. I decided to go with artificial flowers because I didn’t want to have our wedding to be the target of a bee swarm. You couldn’t tell they were artificial they were so beautiful,they looked like the real deal. The wedding was easier than I originally thought it would be, but there were a lot of things to consider. Like, making sure there were citronella candles all around, rest rooms close by and making sure our cake was kept cool until ready to be cut.
I found quite a few terrific accessories that I could use for the reception. Each of our guest had a park bench place card holder and the centerpieces were flowers arranged around a glass globe with citronella votive candles inside. I found very decorative favor boxes and used them to package the chrome bottle openers we bought for our friends and family as a summer wedding invitation. The most beautiful part of our wedding table was our cake with it’s gorgeous wedding cake topper.
I found it while browsing online for my other wedding accessories, and fell in love with it. They were customized toppers for the wedding couple. After I sent them a head shot of my fiance and myself they made our bride and groom topper to look exactly like us. How could I ask for a better wedding keepsake than that? Our friends and family were really loved the cake topper and gave us a lot of compliments on it. All the wonderful accessories I ordered for our reception and wedding ceremony came from the same place, including our champagne flutes and silver cake set. It was amazing all the super accessories you can buy online.
It was the perfect wedding and reception, just like I had hoped for. Plan B never had to be used, since the weather was so beautiful, and thankfully it remained that way through the whole evening. We had a wonderful DJ that I’m sure, kept the music going long after we left for our honeymoon. There were many good comments about our beautiful wedding ceremony and fun filled reception party we had. I couldn’t have picked a better place than the park for our wedding ceremony and reception party. I’d love to do this again and have a wedding renewal in the park, maybe for an anniversary, someday.
Finding Great Leather Wedding Albums for a Wedding!
Thursday, December 3rd, 2009I started shopping for my themed accessories and supplies as soon as we were sure we were having a beach wedding. First things first, I bought our beach themed wedding invitations. One thing I discovered was to be sure you always buy extra invitations, just in case you make a mistake and have yourself a do over, like I did. With the invitations all done and on their way to our prospective guests, I could move on to picking out the beach wedding dress I wanted for our ceremony. With all the selections of beautiful beach dresses and wedding gowns, I had a difficult time deciding what I wanted to wear. I was unsure about the two full length wedding gowns I found, I didn’t want to be uncomfortable at my beach wedding. I found a beautiful beaded knee length dress made of light weight materials of satin and lace, with spaghetti straps for my wedding.
My bridesmaids looked so lovely in their haltered beach dresses of cool linen with a crocheted bodice. My handsome groom wore a sky blue linen shirt and white linen pants and his groomsmen wore white linen shirts with sand colored linen pants. The little ring boy wore a white cotton shirt and khaki shorts, and our flower girl was so cute in a light fabric sundress. All of the wedding party looked great in their wedding attire and the flower arrangements for our bouquets were the most gorgeous I’ve ever seen.
I kept thinking how I should have bought two wedding photo albums, because I wanted lots of pictures of our wonderful beach wedding and reception. I expect photos of every person here and everything at our wedding including our reception and the beautiful beach décor. Pictures of our satin canopy and flowered arch where we stood to take our vows was a definite must. After we were pronounced husband and wife, we left for the hotel to change from our wedding attire to our beach attire. Although a few of our wedding party went home to change into their beach clothes, there were some that decided to just wear their swimsuits under their wedding clothes. The guests were informed on the invitations to wear casual clothing.
Everyone thought our reception tables were so beautiful with all the beach themed wedding accessories I had found for them. There were so many other beach themed accessories to choose from, along with our gorgeous wedding album. The place card holders I chose were these miniature beach chairs that can later be used as photo frames. The guests seemed to like them, and I thought they were just adorable. They also had beach wedding favors that I just had to have for our guests. The little tea lights I chose were in the shape of miniature sand castles and to help them keep the memory of our wonderful beach reception. I found everything we needed, as far as accessories and decorations, for our wedding table and our guests reception tables. I not only bought our beach themed wedding cake topper there, but also the cake knife server set, beautiful crystal champagne glasses and lovely wine glasses too.
Some of the guests were commenting on the gorgeous décor of our reception tables. Adding to the oceanside atmosphere were lots of gel candles I bought from them to put on our reception tables, and a few tiki torches were placed around the area. Putting together everything for our wedding and reception was not as hard as I thought it would be, thanks to all the help I had in finding the perfect beach wedding accessories and reception supplies online. The beautiful ocean whitecaps and the warm sandy beach made the perfect dream wedding and reception location.
Now I can look through our special beach the wedding album and enjoy that day once again.

With all the pictures I wanted taken of our wedding ceremony and reception, maybe I should have bought two leather wedding albums. I planned to have pictures of all the fantastic decorations at our wedding and reception and photos of every guest that attended. I especially wanted photos of us taking our vows under the beautiful flowered arch and satin canopy we had put up. When the ceremony was over, my new husband and I went to our hotel room to change into some more comfortable beach outfits. In fact a few of the bridesmaids and groomsmen also left to change, while others just wore swim suits under their wedding attire. I wrote on all the invitations to dress in casual clothing for this wedding.

When you decide to plan your wedding, you will be amazed at all the different wedding supplies that they have to offer. This would of helped in my planning if I would have known about all ideas on the computer. There are so many themed weddings that are possible to have today, with all kinds of great accessories to make it perfect. I think if I would have had use of this unique wedding favor selection, I probably would have gone for a storybook wedding. I saw so many great accessories and reception supplies for the fairy tale motif and was amazed at all of them. There are gorgeous bridal veils, both short and long to choose from with pretty little rhinestones along the border, or my favorite, the floral veil with embroidery around the edges. You could also choose from a lot of gorgeous tiaras that would be a perfect match for my favorite veil. That would have been the one I would have selected for my fairytale wedding.

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009I look back at my wedding day and see the difference in how things have changed in decorations and how great they look. When I started browsing the internet I found so many beautiful wedding and reception accessories for almost any type of wedding you could imagine. Beach party weddings can be one of the most fantastic ceremonies with seashells and starfish to help decorate with. Just researching you could find great ideas for a summer or spring wedding. I found very exceptional new wedding selections for seasonal ceremonies. I know the winter wonderland wedding supplies were absolutely exquisite with that gorgeous sparkle of the winter season. I actually heard that some brides and grooms have an outside winter wedding. That sounds beautiful, but it seems just a little too modern, and too cold for my taste. If I were planning a wedding it would have to be indoors and not outside in the cold. Maybe a ski resort would be a good place for a winter wedding, with all the fireplaces and cozy winter atmosphere.
There were also quite a bit to choose from for autumn weddings too, which is really my favorite time of the year. An autumn wedding would be so beautiful because of the beautiful scenery with the colors changing and awesome fall scents in the air. When I was married many years ago the only options you had was a church wedding or a county building to get married. Now there are so many different types of weddings you can really have your ceremony exactly the way you want to. I’ve heard of weddings where the location is out of state or even the country and all the friends and famliy fly to that location to have the wedding ceremony. It seems like a great way to escape for all the friends and family. Soon my daughter will be getting married and I have been helping her to prepare for her country western wedding and reception. This wedding is going to be the wedding of the year and probably won’t be forgotten for a long time. I thought about a super beach wedding and reception, or maybe have it in a gorgeous garden, but I decided to have our ceremony and reception in the park. I found there were several great locations that would work out perfectly for an outdoor wedding.

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009I made a list of everything I’d have to buy for my best friend’s bridal shower, and then once I had that, I got to work. The first priority was finding a bachelorette party invitation. Now I’m one of those women that really doesn’t like shopping where I have to fight the crowds, or wait in line for price checks, so I decided to go online and see what I could come up with for the bridal shower. I hit the jackpot there. I was really surprised to find so much and at such great prices. Some of the deals were just incredible. The bridal shower invitations were really nice with silver writing on the front and pearl embossed borders. They had all kinds of invitation cards, from general party invitations to specific ones, like engagement party invitations.
There were some great little accessories for my shower too, like place card holders for all the little tables I had set up. The wedding guest book was another present I purchased; it would help the couple keep good records of who gave them which gifts. There was also a cute idea for a place card holder that I really liked. They had these little plastic handbags that I filled with colorful little candies and found place cards with pink lilies printed on them. Next to the other decorations and presents, they were a real eye-catcher. There’s no type of party that doesn’t have a gift box designed for it. The boxes I selected had floral designs, and I piled them neatly on a cake platter and set them on the table with all the presents. It was a good-looking way to set it up, and everyone there just came by and grabbed a gift. I picked out a few kinckknacks as awards for winning the bridal shower activities we were going to play, and the thank you presents were sets that had everything you’d need to give a manicure. I got little decorative soaps, purse mirrors, novelty key rings and many other little trinkets that made great prizes.
There were plenty of proposals for bridal shower games on the web as well. There was a real funny one called ‘Take It Off ‘ where everyone puts a paper bag over their heads and then the hostess tells everyone to remove one article, and you’d be surprised how many ladies don’t think to remove the bag. It’s comical to watch that game unfold, and it’s a good way to see just how smart your friends are. We had a hoot playing bridal bingo and some other activities, too. I’m so glad I thought to browse the internet, else wise I wouldn’t have gotten such great deals and accessories. I know I got a super deal on the favors and invitations I picked out. The things I purchased were well made, and I spent a lot whole less than I thought I would have to, and had a whole lot more choices. Since the website also sold wedding invitations and favors, I let my friend who was about to get married know about it, since I was sure she could use a wide selection to pick from. She’ll have a lot of options when she uses this site, and it will save her a pretty penny, which all newlyweds need. The bridal shower wouldn’t have been as good without it. The bridal shower was a sensation, and everyone there liked their shower favors, too. The people who took the time to go to the shower will all get thank you cards, which I’m working on now. Which, by the way, I also ordered online. Now I have to go back online because I’m helping my friend plan her sons’ birthday party and they have quite a bit to offer there too.

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009I put a lot of thought about the theme for our wedding ceremony and reception. I wasn’t sure if I wanted a beach wedding, a garden wedding or a country western wedding. But I also considered having a traditional wedding. I also thought about a fantastic destination wedding. How great would it be to have a ceremony and reception in Las Vegas, or maybe take it all the way to Hawaii? I would love a tropical island wedding. But then I thought about all the people that would be disappointed that they couldn’t be there, and I had to toss that idea in the dumpster.
But there were a lot of other ideas to work with, including a winter wonderland wedding. But a wedding in July just didn’t seem like the right time to do a winter theme. So I decided to go with every young girls dream of marrying a prince, and chose to have a storybook wedding, just like in the fairy tales I read as a child. There were so many accessories and reception supplies to help with my fantasty wedding. I also found a place to get the perfect fairy tale wedding cake for a gorgeous royal wedding. So my decision was made. We can declare a royal wedding.
I went online and found fairy tale invitations that I could send out. Next I started checking out all the wedding accessories and reception supplies I would need. I picked out floor length dresses for the girls in my wedding party, and found an exquisite gown for myself. All of the groomsmen and the ring boy looked so handsome in their tuxes, but the best looking one of all, was my regal prince. When I walked down the aisle towards my husband to be I really felt like I was royalty. Our wedding ceremony was more beautiful than I could have hoped for. The accessories I bought added so much glamour and style to our storybook wedding. Rose petals were falling all around us as we were leaving the church. Instead of a limo, we had a horse drawn carriage waiting outside.
Our reception was a total success, with all the storybook accessories, it looked like the inside of a castle. I had no problem when it came to the decorations or the wonderful wedding favors I had for our guests. I even found adorable boxes for each and every wedding gift. I can’t believe all the accessories I was able to get for my fairy tale reception. I decided on little coaches for place card holders and the gorgeous place card holders that looked just like Cinderella coach. They had everything imaginable for a storybook wedding and reception.
Some of our guests commented on the themed décor and told us what a great time they were having. One of my guests said it was the most beautiful ceremony she’d ever been too. I know I was impressed and it was my wedding. I’m so glad that I chose this theme and found so many accessories to help me make it happen. Since this was a special day in my life, I wanted everything to be special. Everything from our wedding cake topper to the wedding gifts for our friends and family went with our storybook theme. I felt that a momento of this special day would mean more than any other gift I could give them. Something that could hold the memory of today for them as well as for us.
As soon as we returned from our honeymoon, I got started on all the thank you notes I needed to mail out. Would you believe I even found fairytale thank you notes for everyone? I wouldn’t mind having a fairytale anniversary renewal ceremony.
