I found some great deals on new wedding favors!

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009

I look back at my wedding day and see the difference in how things have changed in decorations and how great they look. When I started browsing the internet I found so many beautiful wedding and reception accessories for almost any type of wedding you could imagine. Beach party weddings can be one of the most fantastic ceremonies with seashells and starfish to help decorate with. Just researching you could find great ideas for a summer or spring wedding. I found very exceptional new wedding selections for seasonal ceremonies. I know the winter wonderland wedding supplies were absolutely exquisite with that gorgeous sparkle of the winter season. I actually heard that some brides and grooms have an outside winter wedding. That sounds beautiful, but it seems just a little too modern, and too cold for my taste. If I were planning a wedding it would have to be indoors and not outside in the cold. Maybe a ski resort would be a good place for a winter wedding, with all the fireplaces and cozy winter atmosphere.

There were also quite a bit to choose from for autumn weddings too, which is really my favorite time of the year. An autumn wedding would be so beautiful because of the beautiful scenery with the colors changing and awesome fall scents in the air. When I was married many years ago the only options you had was a church wedding or a county building to get married. Now there are so many different types of weddings you can really have your ceremony exactly the way you want to. I’ve heard of weddings where the location is out of state or even the country and all the friends and famliy fly to that location to have the wedding ceremony. It seems like a great way to escape for all the friends and family. There are also a great new wedding party favor selection, from everything from traditional to destination weddings that you can buy for your reception.

Soon my daughter will be getting married and I have been helping her to prepare for her country western wedding and reception. When she told me her idea for the wedding, I thought oh boy this is going to be one weird wedding, but as we were planning it I saw how awesome it was going to be. My daughter found all the western accessories to plan her wedding and make it a success. They’re really quite unique looking. She hired a country band and placed grills and hay around for the party setting. There will be lights and lanterns strung throughout the reception, giving it that western look. She order western place card holders and watercans for the centerpieces and put flowers in them. It amazed me when I found out that they were having the wedding at a ranch because I never heard of renting one for a special occasion before. Many of the wedding decorations that she ordered online are a great match for her country western wedding. She bought bride and groom cowboy hats there for her and her fiance and the cutest little new party favors for each of their guests.

Instead of a normal reception it is looking more like a family get together that has hayrides and outdoor grills. Which when I think of it, sounds like a pretty good time for all. They even planned to have some country western line dancing in the barn. So, I’ve decided to get on the band wagon and go shopping for a pair of cowboy boots, hat and blue jeans and get ready to celebrate this wedding the country way. This wedding is going to be the wedding of the year and probably won’t be forgotten for a long time. Thanks to my daughters great country themed wedding, she’s given me a great idea for our anniversary.

Choosing a summer favor!

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009

It was a lot easier than I thought it would be to plan my outside wedding and reception. It turns out that it was a lot cheaper in cost than it would have been to have an indoor wedding. Since we had the beauty of nature all around us, it wasn’t too expensive to decorate. I checked out a lot of places to have our summer wedding and reception. I thought about a super beach wedding and reception, or maybe have it in a gorgeous garden, but I decided to have our ceremony and reception in the park. I found there were several great locations that would work out perfectly for an outdoor wedding.

Since I never planned a wedding like this before, I needed all the help I could get. If you’re going to have your ceremony outside, it’s a good idea to have an alternative plan just in case the weather turns on you. A tent was suggested just in case the weather turns out badly.

Plan “A” was setting up a gorgeous trellis for our ceremony to be performed under and canopies for the reception. The only real decorations I needed were those for my wedding table and the guests reception tables. With the park as our main theme, I basically had to make sure I had our table settings and maybe throw in a few extra bouquets of flowers. I decided to go with artificial flowers because I didn’t want to have our wedding to be the target of a bee swarm. You couldn’t tell they were artificial they were so beautiful, they looked like the real deal. Planning this wedding wasn’t all that hard, but there was a little more than I expected. Even though some summer wedding favors are fantastic, the heat can totally destroy your gorgeous wedding cake.

As far as table décor, I found so many fantastic accessories for our reception. I had little park bench place card holders at each table setting, and little citronella votive candles in glass globes with a nice flower arrangement as our centerpieces. I found very decorative favor boxes and used them to package the chrome bottle openers we bought for our friends and family as a summer wedding invitation. For our wedding table, of course, was our fabulous wedding cake with a very unique wedding cake topper.

I saw this cake topper when I was checking out all the wedding accessories they had to offer, and I knew this was the topper I wanted. They were customized toppers for the wedding couple. All I had to do was send in a head shot picture of me and my fiance and they custom made a bride and groom cake topper with our faces. How could I ask for a better wedding keepsake than that? Everyone at the reception had something to say about how unique it was. Our crystal champagne flutes and silver cake serving set was just a few of the fantastic accessories I ordered for our ceremony and reception. It’s unbelievable all the lovely accessories you can purchase from you computer.

Well, the wedding was beautiful and the reception was just as perfect. Plan B never had to be used, since the weather was so beautiful, and thankfully it remained that way through the whole evening. We had a wonderful DJ that I’m sure, kept the music going long after we left for our honeymoon. There were many good comments about our beautiful wedding ceremony and fun filled reception party we had. The park turned out to be the perfect place to have our wedding and reception. If we celebrate one of our anniversaries with a wedding renewal, I want to have it in a gorgeous park again.

When you’re looking for a wedding reception favor…

I put a lot of thought about the theme for our wedding ceremony and reception. I wasn’t sure if I wanted a beach wedding, a garden wedding or a country western wedding. But I also considered having a traditional wedding. I also thought about a fantastic destination wedding. How great would it be to have a ceremony and reception in Las Vegas, or maybe take it all the way to Hawaii? I would love a tropical island wedding. But then I thought about all the people that would be disappointed that they couldn’t be there, and I had to toss that idea in the dumpster.
But there were a lot of other ideas to work with, including a winter wonderland wedding. But a wedding in July just didn’t seem like the right time to do a winter theme. So I decided to go with every young girls dream of marrying a prince, and chose to have a storybook wedding, just like in the fairy tales I read as a child. There were so many accessories and reception supplies to help with my fantasty wedding. I also found a place to get the perfect fairy tale wedding cake for a gorgeous royal wedding. So my decision was made. We can declare a royal wedding.
I went online and found fairy tale invitations that I could send out. Next I started checking out all the wedding accessories and reception supplies I would need. I picked out floor length dresses for the girls in my wedding party, and found an exquisite gown for myself. All of the groomsmen and the ring boy looked so handsome in their tuxes, but the best looking one of all, was my regal prince. When I walked down the aisle towards my husband to be I really felt like I was royalty. Our wedding ceremony was more beautiful than I could have hoped for. The accessories I bought added so much glamour and style to our storybook wedding. Rose petals were falling all around us as we were leaving the church. Instead of a limo, we had a horse drawn carriage waiting outside.
Our reception was a total success, with all the storybook accessories, it looked like the inside of a castle. I had no problem when it came to the decorations or the wonderful wedding favors I had for our guests. I even found adorable boxes for each and every wedding gift. I can’t believe all the accessories I was able to get for my fairy tale reception. I decided on little coaches for place card holders and the gorgeous place card holders that looked just like Cinderella coach. They had everything imaginable for a storybook wedding and reception.
Some of our guests commented on the themed décor and told us what a great time they were having. One of my guests said it was the most beautiful ceremony she’d ever been too. I know I was impressed and it was my wedding. I’m so glad that I chose this theme and found so many accessories to help me make it happen. Since this was a special day in my life, I wanted everything to be special. Everything from our wedding cake topper to the wedding gifts for our friends and family went with our storybook theme. I felt that a momento of this special day would mean more than any other gift I could give them. Something that could hold the memory of today for them as well as for us.
As soon as we returned from our honeymoon, I got started on all the thank you notes I needed to mail out. Would you believe I even found fairytale thank you notes for everyone? I wouldn’t mind having a fairytale anniversary renewal ceremony.

Making the right choice when it comes to wedding favor ideas

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009

It took me a while before I could decide on a theme for our ceremony and reception party. I liked the idea of a beach wedding, but a garden wedding or country western theme sounded pretty great too. Then I thought maybe I should just stick with the traditional type of ceremony and reception. Then I found out about destination weddings and that one got me thinking. I thought about the tropical shores of Hawaii or the excitement of Vegas might be a great idea. I would love a tropical island wedding. But I had to give that plan up, too many people wouldn’t be able to travel that far.
But there were a lot of other ideas to work with, including a winter wonderland wedding. But a wedding in July just didn’t seem like the right time to do a winter theme. I decided to go with the last, but not least of the wedding theme ideas, and have a fairy tale ceremony and reception. With all the accessories there are available, I could have the wedding of my dreams. The bakery even had wedding cakes that worked out with my idea. So this was final. We can declare a royal wedding.
I went online and found fairy tale invitations that I could send out. Next I started checking out all the wedding accessories and reception supplies I would need. I bought the most beautiful wedding gown I could find at the bridal shop and had my bridesmaids and little flower girl in exquisite floor length dresses, all with tiaras. All of the groomsmen and the ring boy looked so handsome in their tuxes, but the best looking one of all, was my regal prince. As I made my way down the aisle to my handsome prince Charming I felt like I was living a dream. Our wedding ceremony was more beautiful than I could have hoped for. The accessories I bought added so much glamour and style to our storybook wedding. Rose petals were falling all around us as we were leaving the church. Outside we climbed into a gorgeous horse drawn carriage to take us to the reception hall.
A real castle wouldn’t haved looked as good as our reception hall with all of the fantastic accessories and decorations. I found everything to fit the ocassion from decorations to wedding favors. I even found the perfect favor boxes to put each themed wedding gift in for our guests. I was amazed at all of the themed accessories there were for our fairy tale reception. I decided on little coaches for place card holders and the gorgeous place card holders that looked just like Cinderella coach. I couldn’t have pulled this off without the wonderful accessories they have for fairytale weddings.
Everyone had a fabulous time and I received a lot of compliments on the décor. One of my guests said it was the most beautiful ceremony she’d ever been too. I know I was impressed and it was my wedding. I’m so glad that I chose this theme and found so many accessories to help me make it happen. I wanted today to be as special for our guests as it was for me and my new husband. Everything at our reception was in a fairytale theme, even our cake, so I wanted themed wedding gifts too. I wanted our guests to leave with something that would remind them of this special day. A special something to remind them of sharing this very special ceremony with us.
After the honeymoon was over, there was the job of filling out thank you notes for all of our guests. Would you believe I even found fairytale thank you notes for everyone? I wonder if we could do this again for our anniversary?

Do your research before choosing wedding gifts!

It took me a while before I could decide on a theme for our ceremony and reception party. I checked on three different themes, beach, garden and country western. But on the other hand there is a lot to be said for tradition. I also thought about a fantastic destination wedding. I thought about the tropical shores of Hawaii or the excitement of Vegas might be a great idea. I would probably go for the Hawaii destination. I soon put that idea to rest, there are too many people on our guestlist for a wedding like that.
Then I thought about a winter themed wedding. But a wedding in July just didn’t seem like the right time to do a winter theme. I decided to go with the last, but not least of the wedding theme ideas, and have a fairy tale ceremony and reception. There were plenty of fairy tale accessories and ideas to work with for the perfect story book wedding. There were even special wedding cakes you could buy that fit in perfectly with the theme. So my decision was made. Cinderella and Prince Charming were getting married.
I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding ceremony. The accessories I bought added so much glamour and style to our storybook wedding. Rose petals were falling all around us as we were leaving the church. We were driven to the reception in a horse drawn carriage, just like royalty.
Our reception was a total success, with all the storybook accessories, it looked like the inside of a castle. I found everything to fit the ocassion from decorations to wedding favors. I even found the perfect favor boxes to put each themed wedding party favor in for our guests. There were so many accessories to choose from to help with our storybook reception. I bought little coaches that made perfect place card holders, and exquisite champagne flutes with a storybook design. They had everything imaginable for a storybook wedding and reception.
Everyone had a fabulous time and I received a lot of compliments on the décor. One of our guests stated that she’d never seen such a gorgeous ceremony as ours. I know I was impressed and it was my wedding. I think I made the right choice when I chose this theme, and I’m glad I could find so many great accessories to help. I wanted today to be as special for our guests as it was for me and my new husband. Everything from our wedding cake topper to the wedding party favors for our friends and family went with our storybook theme. I felt that a momento of this special day would mean more than any other gift I could give them. I wanted to give them something they would look back on with fond memories.
I had a lot of thank you note to take care of when we got back from our honeymoon. Believe it or not, I was able to get thank you notes with a fairytale theme. I wouldn’t mind having a fairytale anniversary renewal ceremony.
