Being my first time being married, I wanted to plan a picture perfect wedding shower. I needed assistance in planning my wedding and talked to my sister to see if she could help me with the planning. She agreed and was excited as much as I was. Planning a wedding shower is time consuming, but I couldn’t wait to start planning it. I have planned showers before and I knew my shower would turn out awesome. There was not a whole lot of time for me to plan my shower and I thought I better get started soon.
Me and my sister were looking for a place to have the shower and enough space for all the guests. We came across one that was real close to where I live. We went on the computer to look for decorations and gifts. There were a lot of themed wedding ideas that were gorgeous. I bought all my decorations and gifts for the shower. I needed to find the shower favors. There was a lot to look at. I took a lot of time looking because of all the awesome shower favors. We saw a cotton handkerchief that was so elegant, that I decided this is what I want to give my guests for a wedding favor. This made me decide that I wanted one for myself on my wedding day. I seen a cotton handkerchief that was so beautiful. I was so sure that all my guests would fall in love with the cotton handkerchiefs. My decision was to pick the lace handkerchief for my guests.
Everything was falling into place. We had the hall and ordered all the decorations, gifts and wedding favors. I now had to plan what I was going to have as food for my shower. I thought about catering it in, but that was expensive. I looked through all my recipes and found some great dishes that I and my sister could make in no time. We placed the order for the cake at a bakery near us. Everything was ready. I found these great invitations and sent them out. Now it was a waiting game, waiting for the day of the shower.
My shower day was here and me and my sister went to the hall early to set everything up. It took us about an hour to decorate the hall. When we were done decorating the room, we couldn’t get over how awesome the room looked. Luckly I bought my camera with me because I wanted to remember how gorgeous the room looked. We decorated the tables with a centerpiece and put the cake on the food table. Each setting had a cotton handkerchief. If you were to walk in the room, you would think how gorgeous it looked.
My guests finally arrived and we all had such a great time. We all enjoyed each other’s company. We had fun playing games and eating. My guests talked about how much they enjoyed getting a handkerchief. I received so many gifts from all my family and friends. I did not want my shower to end, because I had so much fun and so did my guests.
When it was time for my guests to leave, they commented how much of a good time they had and were happy to get the handkerchief. I am so glad I went with the handkerchief for the wedding favor. This day turned out so good and will be remembered for a life time. I am glad that my sister was so helpful in planning the shower with me. It meant so much to me that she was a part of this. That is the reason she is my maid of honor.
